If you don’t think of yourself as an introvert, then it’s statistically likely you know one! We’ve been called shy, we avoid small talk, we prefer to work alone, or we take time to process opinions. Introverts may feel unvalued or simply overwhelmed in a culture that idealizes the quick-talking, fast-judging individual. And yet introverts hold powers and insights that can bring enormous benefits to the workplace and relationships.
At this LLN, Maria will help fellow introverts recognize and understand the power of their perspective – how their unique talents set them apart as leaders and how having them on your team can strengthen your organization. This LLN will help you embrace the introvert within you (or beside you)!
Maria Surma Manka is an introvert who enjoys speaking in front of large groups, and then retreating to quiet. She owns and operates Two Rivers Communications, a public relations firm that helps businesses and nonprofits tell their stories through media relations and meaningful printed stories. Maria also runs www.workationwoman.com, where she shares ideas and tips for families who want to temporarily work and live abroad. Maria loves anything related to food: growing it, hunting it, cooking it and eating it
